Sicura Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Sicura Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

1. What is Sicura?

Sicura is a personalized health protection app that analyzes your health records and device data to give you insights, alerts, and guidance. It is not a medical device and does not diagnose or treat conditions.

2. Does Sicura keep my personal health data private?

Yes. Your health data stays on your phone unless you explicitly choose to share it. All analysis and processing of your health data is done on your phone.  None of this data ever leaves your phone.  Sicura only accesses data you authorize through Apple Health or CommonHealth.

(Ref: User Guide — Privacy)

3. How do I connect my health records?

Before onboarding, connect your devices and clinical records to Apple Health (iPhone) or CommonHealth (Android). When you open Sicura, it will guide you through importing clinical records from your healthcare providers and choosing what to share. None of this data ever leaves your phone.

If, after onboarding, you wish to connect to other healthcare providers (or you did not do so during onboarding), go to Settings (from the More tab) and tap “Add New Clinical Records”.  You can also remove provider accounts from here if you wish to stop uploading your clinical records to Apple Health and Sicura.

4. My dashboard is empty during onboarding — is something wrong?

No — this is normal during initial syncing. If you have many records, analysis can take several minutes. The dashboard populates automatically when analysis is complete.

5. What are Alerts?

Alerts notify you about potential health issues found in your data.

  • Red alerts need timely attention

  • White alerts provide less urgent recommendations

Each alert includes recommended actions and an explanation.

6. What are Events?

Events are health-related tasks such as screenings, checkups, or follow-ups. You can schedule, update, and mark them as completed.

7. What is Health Age?

Health Age compares your overall health risk profile to what is typical for your chronological age. It helps you understand your current health risks.

8. How can I reduce my Health Age?

You can explore what factors influence your health risks by tapping “Why do I have these risks” on the Health Age screen.  You can then tap Analyze in the top right corner of the Risk Factors screen to experiment with different factor values (by sliding the red and green buttons to new positions). In this way, you can see what factors need changing to reduce your Health Age.

9. What is the Watch List?

The Watch List tracks out-of-range or goal-related data so you can monitor important indicators like blood pressure or cholesterol over time.

10. What does the Support section do?

Support offers personalized services — such as coaching, programs, or AI health tools — based on your health needs. Beware that connecting to a provider (by tapping “Read More About Offer”) may reveal to the provider that you meet their targeting criteria.

11. Can Sicura remind me about appointments?

Yes. You can add events manually or track scheduled appointments and mark them as completed.

12. How do I update or correct my health data?

Tap the Profile icon to edit conditions, medications, allergies, labs, vitals, and more. You can manually add or delete entries in your Health Record.

13. Why did I get a privacy warning?

If you connect to a support provider (by tapping “Read More About Offer”), it confirms you match their targeting criteria (e.g., have diabetes, recorded low daily steps). This warning is disclosed to you before connecting to the support provider.

14. Is Sicura a medical device?

No. Sicura is not intended for diagnosis or treatment and should not replace medical advice from a qualified healthcare provider.
